Topics
First hour, quick news
- The Tiki Newsletters are in a bad shape unless for a few specific scenarios. Is it worth of trying to fix this element in Tiki? (or just in my Tikis)
- ...
Put your topic (max. 5-10 minutes) into the list above
Second hour, longer topics
- Latest pointless rant from that old guy (jonny) who won't be at the meeting anyway, see my comment here
- Let's review Endangered features and decide. Now (post-LTS) is a great time to remove cruft
- Unanswered questions from Matrix chat :
- Does anyone know the purpose of the id="mod-menuleft2" for example that is now added to modules' card-body div?
- Also, why modules' card-body has an inline style "display: block" that overrides the default Bootstrap display: flex?
- Stalled MRs: https://gitlab.com/tikiwiki/tiki/-/merge_requests/?sort=created_asc&state=opened&draft=no&first_page_size=20
(discuss MRs that have been stuck for more than 4 months)
- ...
Put your topic (max. 15 minutes) into the list above
Recording
Follow-Up
- About my questions regarding module card and card-body classes/properties :
- No one seemed to first-hand knowledge of the purpose of the id="mod-menuleft2" for example that is now added to modules' card-body div. I'll look into the code history, etc. to try to track down the commit and the purpose of the id.
- Actually, I misread module.tpl when I asked "why modules' card-body has an inline style 'display: block' that overrides the default Bootstrap display: flex". Bootstrap's display: flex is on the card div, not on the card-body div, so Tiki's application of the display: block property (for showing and hiding the module body) is completely compatible with Bootstrap.
Put your follow-up action(s) when you're done into the list above

If you did it on master you can always submit a merge request and we can have a look?

You are right not end of life, end of support, but end of regular feature support

I see, so it was a standardization attempt

For eg. for boolean values some Plugins were using: y or n
others: 0 0r 1
others: yes or not
lu

00:19:00
Was it mostly 0,1, 'n' or 'y' ?

I would prefer simplification over complicated computation. So we need to specify what should be allowed and if there is anything else the plugin should fail with an error feedback

I did not test this thoroughly so hard to say what changed by this MR being merged

I tried contributing to a feature my company required on our tiki site (intertiki over ipv4 and ipv6).
It's something I was able to implement for our goals without GUI work. But the discussion in my merge request added some scope creep with more GUI requirements for beginning users (which I get).
But that's not something I actively work on or have a good idea for. So that's why I'm feeling stuck a bit
gu
Guest: Michel
01:20:59
Maybe that's a reason why more merge requests get stalled?
gu
Guest: Michel
01:23:19
Oh it's not specifically about my merge request. But more to give a bit of insight.

There is no simple way for reviewers to know that open threads all have an answer by the author.
